Types of Dentures

Everyone’s tooth loss is different, and as such, we’re prepared to offer different types of dentures so our prosthetics perfectly suit everyone’s situation, taking their health, appearance, and comfort into account.

Full Dentures

Complete dentures, also known as full dentures, are worn when all of the teeth are missing and are typically made of acrylic resin. They have a flesh-colored base that fits over the gums and are custom-designed to fit your mouth. They can be made for your upper jaw, lower jaw, or both. These dentures are removable, making them easy to clean and maintain.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are held in place by clasps that fit around existing teeth, completing a row like the last piece of a puzzle. They also prevent your remaining teeth from shifting.

Implant Dentures

With implant dentures, the prosthetic is attached to the jawbone using just four to six dental implants to create something that feels extremely secure and looks natural. In addition to unmatched stability, the implants stimulate the jaw to prevent the bone loss and “sunken” look that often develops after teeth go missing.

How Are Dentures Made?

The process of making your dentures will likely take around 4 to 6 weeks. A dental lab will create your denture based on molds and measurements taken of your mouth. The lab will ensure your denture is the correct size, shape, and color as well as make sure it is comfortable to wear and matches your natural teeth.

The Benefits of Dentures

Dentures enable patients to bite, chew, and laugh without hiding their teeth. They restore the appearance of the smile and can help patients regain their self-confidence. While dentures are not a permanent solution, they can significantly improve a patient’s quality of life both in the short and long term.
